Personal Data Protection Law
Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL)Obligation of Data Controller to InformArticle 10, titled "Obligation of Data Controller to Inform ," outlines the data controller's responsibility to provide information regarding their address and contact details, the purposes for which personal data will be processed, to whom and for what purpose the processed personal data may be transferred, the method and legal basis for collecting personal data, and the rights that the data subject can exercise against the data controller, as stipulated in Article 11 of the Law.
In this context; Our Ministry's Personal Data Protection Law Information Text has been prepared in order to inform and enlighten data owners in accordance with the KVKK and relevant legislation.

Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
- To ensure that the Ministry can continue its activities,
- The Ministry can fulfill its legal obligations in line with the principles and procedures stipulated by other laws and legislation related to KVKK,
- so that the necessary work can be done to ensure that our citizens and foreigners benefit from the services offered by the Ministry,
- In order to create and manage the records of our citizens,
- To be able to conduct evaluation and analysis studies regarding our citizens within legal limits,
- To ensure the implementation of our Ministry's human resources policies,
- Ensuring the legal and commercial security of our Ministry,
- The planning of tasks carried out directly or indirectly by the Ministry,
- Determination and implementation of ministry strategies,
- Conducting research and analysis, including surveys to measure our citizens' satisfaction with the services provided,
- Resolving complaints from our citizens regarding the services provided and processing requests for data access or correction,
- Creating and updating efficiency reports by obtaining information about citizen-based developments in the service provided,
- Facilitating the social media sharing function within the scope of the service provided,
- The monitoring and execution of communication processes with other official institutions and organizations within legal processes,
- The planning of information security processes, the establishment and management of the information technology infrastructure,
- To conduct risk management, ensure business continuity, and follow up on contractual processes or legal claims,
- To ensure the execution of the Ministry's activities and procedures,
- To manage relations between our citizens and foreigners and the Ministry, and to monitor corporate governance activities,
- Carrying out financial, accounting, and fiscal transactions by our Ministry, as well as performing risk management,
Transfer of Personal Data to Third Parties and/or Abroad
Your personal data may be shared and transferred, for the purpose of achieving the aforementioned goals, with third parties within the country, including but not limited to the Ministry of Interior's direct and indirect solution partners, our domestic suppliers, logistics companies, event companies, digital agencies, call center service providers, audit companies, banks, financial institutions, consultancy firms providing support in areas such as law and taxes, insurance companies, and other solution partners, as well as third parties providing external services in areas such as storage, archiving, information technologies (server, hosting, software, cloud computing), security, call center, sales, and marketing, and legally authorized public institutions and organizations and private individuals, within the framework of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the Personal Data Protection Law.
Access to Personal Data and Your Rights under the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK)
In accordance with Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), by applying to the Ministry of Interior, you have the rights to; learn whether your personal data is being processed, and if so, to request information regarding this, to learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether they are being used in line with their purpose, to know the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred within the country, to request the correction of your personal data in case they are incomplete or incorrectly processed and to request that this process be notified to the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred, to request the deletion or destruction of your personal data if the reasons requiring their processing cease to exist, to be evaluated within the scope of the principles of purpose, duration, and legitimacy, and to request that this process be notified to the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred, to object to a result that arises against you in case your processed personal data is analyzed exclusively through automated systems, and to request compensation for the damage in case your personal data is processed unlawfully and you suffer damage as a result.
In this context, to exercise your rights mentioned above, you can submit your requests along with documents verifying your identity, in the form of a wet-signed petition, to the Ministry of Interior in person at T.C. İçişleri Bakanlığı, Bakanlıklar/ANKARA, or by mail or through a notary, or electronically to kvkk@icisleri.gov.tr. It is important that your application is clear, understandable and contains documents that identify your identity and address information. kvkk@icisleri.gov.tr adresine gönderebilirsiniz. Başvurunuzun açık, anlaşılır bir şekilde olması ve kimlik ile adres bilgilerini tespit edici belgeleri ihtiva etmesi önem arz etmektedir.
The Ministry of Interior will conclude your requests regarding your rights as soon as possible and no later than 30 (thirty) days, depending on the nature of the request.
Within this scope, applications will be accepted following identity verification to be carried out by us, and the relevant persons will be responded to in writing or electronically within the legal timeframes.
